The two-story, completely renovated space is a contemporary-chic addition to the Rittenhouse Hotel, replacing the previous Smith & Wollensky restaurant. Patrons can enter through the lower street level doors or the hotel lobby into the main bar area. Al a carte dinner is served on the second level, exposing the floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautiful view of Rittenhouse Park.
Scarpetta offers a distinctly bold menu, including signature handmade in-house pasta, raw and cooked seafood, various meat choices, and vegetarian or vegan options. High-quality and local seasonal ingredients execute the dishes with superb attention to detail and originality. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating due to the required training program held at other locations before opening. The training program aims to ensure a complete understanding of the Scarpetta culture, menu awareness, tasting, and how ingredients are selected.
