You can also take advantage of the water sports in Gunpowder Falls State Park, a 30-minute drive from Baltimore. You can also check out Assateague Island, a 30-minute drive from downtown Baltimore. The dune area is home to Chincoteague ponies, and beach volleyball leagues are on the island.
