Philadelphia, PAPhillyBite10 - Paying homage to the influence flowers have on our everyday lives, the Philadelphia Horticultural Society's (PHS) yearly celebration of spring is soon approaching. This year Philadelphia Flower Show 2019, will be held on March 2 to 10, with the theme of the 60's  Flower Power.

The show held annually is going to completely transform the convention centers 10 acres of floor space into a lavish garden paradise. This year will feature a 60 feet meadow dangling above guests as they enter the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This year's entranceway will also comprise of numerous vine sculptures along with around 8,000 flowers to honor pop artists Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

The Philadelphia Flower Show will also offer several workshops, presentations as well as lectures focused on instructing garden buffs. Butterflies Live! is going to feature thousands of exotic butterflies, as well as Make & Take activities for a kid of all ages. A daily Garden Tea will also serve up small treats, light lunches along with fine tea.

An exclusive sneak peek party is going to be held on Mar. 1, followed by the official show opening on Mar. 2 to 10, 2019 inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

11 a.m.-8 p.m. March 2, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. March 3 and 9, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. March 4-8 and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. March 10

Cost: $29.95-$34 in advance for adults, $32-$42 during show week for adults, $21-$26 for students, $17-$20 for children.
