Harry Potter in PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia, PA - The Franklin Institute has announced that the Harry Potter: The Exhibition will open in Philadelphia in February 2022. The exhibition will be divided into ten sections, covering thousands of square feet, including the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, and Diagon Alley. Visitors will enter the exhibition through a station set up like King's Cross in London.


Harry Potter At The Franklin Institute

Wizards of all ages will get to choose their House and wand and begin their own personal journey into the wizarding world. The world premiere of the Harry Potter Exhibit, the largest traveling exhibit in the Wizarding World, will take place at Franklin Institute in Philadelphia on February 18, 2022. A local beer company has even produced a new Harry Potter-Inspired Beer.

Brand new behind-the-scenes exhibitions focus on iconic moments, characters, scenes, and beasts from the Harry Potter films and stories, Fantastic Beasts and the expanded wizarding world, including Harry Potter and the Curse of the Child, in a carefully crafted setting, commemorating the many memorable moments that fans and audiences have loved for over two decades.

Visitors get an up-close look at everything from original costumes to authentic props as they embark on a personalized journey in innovative, majestic, and magical environments using best-in-class immersive design and technology. The 18,000 square-foot exhibit features 21-holiday galleries, including the Great Hall, Hogwarts Castle, Hagrid's Cottage, Hogwarts House, and Newt's Suitcase.

Guests will be transferred from the famous King's Cross to the exhibit. They will complete their visitor profile and begin their personalized adventure by choosing a Hogwarts home, wand, and patron saint.



As visitors explore each gallery, their interactions are captured using RFID wristbands to provide a unique experience related to their visitor profile. They will get up close and personal with authentic props and original costumes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films and have the opportunity to interact with innovative, majestic, and magical environments and installations like never before in the traveling exhibition.
