Philadelphia, PA - New York City’s Mayor De Blasio announced the city will be closing NYC schools out of caution. Students will shift to remote learning until the mayor lifts the new restrictions, remaining until further notice.
NY City residents have tested positive at rate of 3 percent over the past seven days.
Remote instruction will begin tomorrow morning, leaving many parents scrambling to find coverage or call off from work at the last minute.
The closure also comes just days after parents were given the choice of a blended learning plan or a full remote learning option.
