Philadelphia to Provide Meals and Activity Space

Philadelphia School MealsPhiladelphia, PA - As a result of Philadelphia school's temporary closing from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27, the Philadelphia School District and City of Philadelphia plan to provide meal service along with drop-in activity space for students over the next two weeks.

"We encourage any School District families interested in obtaining breakfast and lunch meals for their students to visit these meal distribution sites," said Superintendent William R. Hite, Jr., Ed.D. "We are eager to help support families during this difficult time and urge them to take advantage of the resources provided throughout the city."

From Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. through noon, any Philadelphia student can get up to two grab-and-go meals at the following 30 schools:

Philadelphia School District personnel, including a school police officer along with support staff, will be on-site to hand out meals to students and families.
