Phillies Summer of Giving Presented by The GIANT Company
Phillies Charities, Inc. has already contributed over $100,000 in grants this season to a variety of non-profit organizations, and this includes the city's Playstreets Program. Which, in turn, provides a safe, fun place for Philadelphia's young people to enjoy the summer months.
Various other charitable grants were additionally presented to the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, Bethesda Project, Magee Rehabilitation, Police Athletic League, as well as the Tug McGraw Foundation.
Phillies Summer of Giving presented by The GIANT Company Lineup:
- On Thursday, July 30, the Phillie Phanatic will make a special lunch break at Nemours DuPont Hospital for Children. Where he will help in distributing a hundred boxes of Seasons Pizzas to the hospital's health care heroes.
- On Wednesday, August 5, upwards of 250 doctors, nurses, in addition to staff & family members from Nemours Children's Health System and Jefferson Health, are going to be treated to a Phillies Healthcare Heroes Virtual Appreciation Night.
- Other events in August will include a Phillies Virtual Bingo, in which members of St. Joseph's Manor nursing home, will have the opportunity to play bingo with host Scott Palmer and a former player.
Additionally, a Phillies Family Toy Drive is being planed with front-office workers donating toys and games to be distributed during the holiday season to organizations assisting children in need.
