Philadelphia, PACheesesteak Adventure Philly - The Drive to 1,000. My name is Jim Pappas. I have eaten 856 different cheesesteaks in the last 3 years. I hope to be at 1,000 different cheesesteaks eaten by the end of 2021. I started the Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure, My quest for the ultimate cheesesteak, in May 2018.

Jim Pappas The Man On A Cheesesteak Quest

Guest eaters always bring a renewed sense of wonder to the adventure. Most guest eaters have been confirmed, college friends, and family. However, some have not been real, Rocky, miniature bobblehead Gruden, and various celebrities. We are still debating who brought more excitement to the adventure, tiny bobblehead Gruden or uncle Ed.

I would love to have guest eaters join me as I Drive to 1,000 different cheesesteaks eaten. Do you have a hidden gem of a cheesesteak? Does your corner bar have a fantastic cheesesteak? Are you a member of an exclusive cheesesteak club? Do you make an amazing cheesesteak? Or any place you get a cheesesteak. There are plenty of good corner/pop store cheesesteaks. All I ask is that it be someplace I have not been. Not mandatory, but I like beer. E-mail, DM, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook messenger, and/or send me a well-written letter if you want to join me on my drive to 1,000 different cheesesteaks eaten.

Suppose you want to see if I have been to your favorite place; 1. Search on YouTube, I video every cheesesteak, and I structure the title of every video the same; Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure at …….. 2. www.philadelphiacheesesteakadventure.com and search my spreadsheet. It is a google sheet. It is public, and you can sort it by the name of a cheesesteak place, city, county, and/or state. 3. Google maps, I have saved every place I have been to in a list titled ‘Cheesesteak Adventure,’ and I have a ‘go-to’ list. Both are public.

I take pictures, videos and score every cheesesteak I eat. I have a 5 category 100 point scoring system. I keep notes, amenities, and physical location for each cheesesteak on a spreadsheet. The pictures, videos, and reviews get posted to social media. The spreadsheet lives on my website, www.philadelphiacheesesteakadventure.com.

I have made 2 “best of” lists. I have been on Fox29 Good Day Philly, ABC’s Localish, 6ABC News’ Big Talkers, 2 articles in the Inquirer, and Stephen Colbert made fun of me in his monologue. The Sweet 16 and Final Four of my history-making bracket-style cheesesteak tournament, March Cheesesteak Madness, can be seen on ABC’s Local’ish.

Thank you!! I hope to eat a cheesesteak with you!!
