Suspect Attempted to Bring Gun Into a North Philadelphia Charter School

PhillyBite10Philadelphia, PA - On February 15, 2018, an unknown teenager approach the 22nd Street entrance of the Frederick Douglas Mastery Charter School located at 2118 West Norris Street armed with a handgun that he pulled from his waistband and racking the slide.


The suspect then placed a handgun in his right jacket pocket and attempted to enter the school but the doors were locked. The suspect then left the area and was last seen south on 22nd Street. There were no shots fired during this incident.

 

Suspect is discribed as a: Black male, 13-16 years-of-age, 5’5″, thin build, dark complexion, wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
