Winter Fun in Franklin Square Philadelphia
During the evenings, guests can enjoy the dazzling lights of the Electrical Spectacle Light Show while gathering around fire pits for hot beverages and seasonal food. A new addition this year is Franklin Square Street Curling, a modified version of the Olympic team sport. Street Curling can be played on an elevated platform, with teams sliding stones across the curling surface towards the target. Sessions can be booked for up to 8 players at $40 per session.
In February, Philly Mini Golf with LOVE takes over the course, offering a romantic twist. Tickets for Philly Mini Golf are priced at $15 for adults and $12 for children (3-12), with free admission for children under 2.
The key attraction of the event is the Franklin Square Electrical Spectacle Light Show. It showcases hundreds of thousands of lights synchronized to seasonal classics and features a giant kite and key, inspired by Benjamin Franklin's electric discovery. The light shows run every 30 minutes from 5 pm until closing.
Visitors can also enjoy Ben On the Rocks, a heated tent where they can savor handcrafted cocktails, spiked hot chocolate, seasonal beers, and wines. The tent provides activities like making s'mores, cookie decorating, and offers delicious apple cider donuts. SquareBurger, operated by Cooperage, is available for comfort classic foods.
During the day, guests can play Philly Mini Golf with LOVE, ride the Parx Liberty Carousel, dine at SquareBurger, and enjoy the playgrounds in Franklin Square.
Franklin Square is open from January 11 to February 25, Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm. Additionally, it will be open on February 12 and the evening of February 14.
