Philadelphia, PA - Good Dog Bar, the beloved Philadelphia institution in the city's heart, celebrates two decades of wagging tails and clinking glasses with a roaring twenties-themed anniversary bash. On December 3 from 7:00 PM to closing, proprietors Heather Gleason and Dave Garry will turn back the clock to an era of jazz and glamor as they commemorate two decades of culinary excellence and unwavering community support.
Good Dog Bar Marks 20th Anniversary
Founded in 2003 by Heather Gleason at 28, Good Dog Bar quickly became a fixture in Philadelphia's social scene. “20 years is a huge accomplishment for any business, but it is a true milestone in this industry. For me…20 years is insane," says Gleason. Dave Garry joined Heather at Good Dog upon opening and became her life partner; twenty years later, they are married with two dog children and are proprietors of Good Dog Bar in Philadelphia and Atlantic City.
The anniversary celebration will feature raffle prizes, a souvenir photo booth for capturing memories, and the announcement of the winner of the highly anticipated dog photo contest. In addition to honoring two original staff members who have been with them all twenty years - Zach and Will - 10% of sales from the celebration will be donated to Street Tails Animal Rescue of Philadelphia. In contrast, 100% of raffle proceeds will be matched by Good Dog Bar.
"I feel very proud of what we have built and am amazed at how many regulars we have coming in for all 20 years. They are more like family," says Gleason. Join Good Dog Bar on December 3 as they raise a glass to two decades of memories, milestones, and vibrant spirit that has defined this beloved establishment.
