Philadelphia, PA – September 25th marks the opening of the second location of Milkcrate Cafe, a beloved Fishtown coffee shop known for its perfect blend of music aesthetics and cafe vibes. The new location, Milkcrate Cafe West, will be at 45th and Baltimore in West Philadelphia.
Milkcrate West will offer coffee, food, records, and lovely vibes to its guests. Limited food options will be available at first but the menu is expected to expand to include bagels & pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and grab-and-go lunch items. The cafe will be open daily from 8 am-3 pm but hours may expand in the spring.
In addition to launching a new cafe, Milkcrate opened its Vinyl Bar at the original Fishtown location. The Vinyl Bar is open from 8 pm-12 am on Fridays and Saturdays with plans to expand hours in the near future. The bar features beer, wine and craft cocktails as well as DJs spinning vinyl through a vintage audiophile hi-fi system. Upcoming events include a record release party for Emily Robb on October 14th.
“We have been searching for a location in West Philly for several years," said Adam Porter, owner of Milkcrate Cafe. "Opening our 2nd location here in West Philly is truly amazing and we are proud to be a part of this community."
