Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary

Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary is a unique Halloween event in the abandoned prison on ten acres. It features a variety of interactive activities, including haunted houses, immersive walkthroughs, themed bars, and live performances. The haunts are full of fascinating characters and create an eerie atmosphere.

Terror Behind the Walls has been hosted at Eastern State Penitentiary since 1997, and it was the scariest haunted house in the country. Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the prison to close the event, but in 2021, the prison reopened with Halloween Nights. Now, guests can experience five haunted houses, live entertainment, and themed bars in the historic prison. You can even choose from five haunted houses to create your own experience. For example, you can choose to go through the haunted house Nightmares, which features creepy creatures and a bloody X on your forehead.

The event is open during the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays. The haunted house is reminiscent of a parallel universe where bizarre creatures appear from nowhere. The world seems to shrink in this place, and depravity pervades.
