Philadelphia, PAWawa Welcome America As a proud sponsor of the 2022 Wawa Welcome America festival, The Bourse Food Hall, Old City’s artisan food hall on Independence Mall, is celebrating the kickoff to summer and July 4 in Philadelphia with a three-day celebration featuring an outdoor beer garden, artisan craft market, cocktail and zero-proof bar, and more in front of the food hall, on 5th Street between Chestnut and Market Streets, on Friday, June 24, Sunday, June 26, and Sunday, July 3, 4 pm – 9 pm.

The Bourse Food Hall Partners with Wawa Welcome America for Three-Day Block Party

As a historic landmark on Independence Mall dating back to 1895, The Bourse is excited to partner with Wawa Welcome America and celebrate America’s independence in the shadows of history as the official pre-party location for this year’s Independence Mall performances on Friday, June 24 (The U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus, 7-9 pm), Sunday, June 26 (Yolanda Yvette Adams alongside the Welcome America Mass Choir, 7-9 pm), and Sunday, July 3 (Philly POPS, headed by GRAMMY® nominated singer and songwriter Ryan Shaw, 7-9 pm). Visitors and locals alike can enjoy a beer garden helmed by The Bourse vendors, Scoop DeVille, Freebyrd Chicken, Grubhouse, cocktails, and mocktails from La Botanica crafts wares from local small businesses and artists.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, June 24, from 4-9 pm, with a performance from Rev. R2 and Da’ Crew at 5 pm on 5th Street between Market and Chestnut Streets. The pop-up beer garden will take over The Bourse’s 5th st patio boasting a selection of boozy and non-boozy beverages for visitors, including frozen spiked lemonades and Night Shift Brewing Beers from Scoop DeVille, Doc Wylder’s, and Spearhead Brewing Company’s Decoy Lager from Freebyrd Chicken, Double Nickel Brewing Company beers from Grubhouse, and more. Additionally, local Mixologist Stacey Lyons of La Botanica will be shaking up craft cocktails and mocktails.

Attendees can sip and shop while perusing a plethora of gifts, souvenirs, and handmade crafts from a host of local artists and small businesses, including Hurricane Woodwork and Trial by Fire on June 24, Mama Phoenix Traveling Boutique and local artist Nataliya Yermolenko on June 26, HevaDeer Designs and Nyambi Naturals on July 3, and many more.

The pop-up beer garden will be open from 4-9 pm, and the craft market will be available from 4-7 pm on Friday, June 24, Sunday, June 26, and Sunday, July 3, in front of The Bourse Food Hall, located at 111 S. Independence Mall E.
