Philadelphia Launches Senior Hotline to Support Students During School Closure

Philadelphia, PAOffice of High School Supports - The School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Postsecondary Readiness and Office of High School Supports has opened up a senior hotline to provide additional support to graduating students during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Philadelphia School Districts Support Hotline

The hotline will be open from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays starting today, May 12. It will be staffed by District college, career, and technical education experts.

“The senior hotline will serve as an additional layer to the supports students are currently receiving virtually from counselors, teachers, and school-based staff,” said Chief Academic Supports Officer Malika Savoy-Brooks, Ed.D. “Our goal is to connect students with resources in the district, at their school and in the community.”

Education experts will be offering live support to students pursuing postsecondary opportunities. With access to school-based counselors, to guide students through college enrollment or application paperwork, as well as assist with completing FAFSA applications and/or verification.
