PHILADELPHIA — Prepare for some daytime detours in Northeast Philadelphia over the next couple of weeks. A section of Bridge Street is scheduled to partially close starting this Thursday, November 5, to accommodate ongoing overhead bridge construction along Interstate 95.

According to a recent PhillyVoice report, the closure will affect the stretch of Bridge Street between Tacony and James Streets. The restrictions will be in effect on weekdays only, from 9 AM to 3 PM, and are expected to last through Friday, November 20.

Detour Information: During the daily closure hours, standard vehicular traffic will be redirected through the following detours:

  • Westbound travelers: Detour left onto Tacony Street, right onto Aramingo Avenue, and back onto Bridge Street.
  • Eastbound travelers: Detour left onto Torresdale Avenue, right onto Van Kirk Street, and right onto Tacony Street to reach Bridge Street.
  • Truck detour: Large trucks heading east will follow a slightly different route, turning left onto Torresdale Avenue, right onto Levick Street, and then right onto Tacony Street to return to Bridge Street.
