PHILADELPHIA - The Roxborough Development Corporation is transforming Ridge Avenue into a massive autumn block party for the 14th Annual Roxtoberfest. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the free-to-attend street festival will stretch between Lyceum Avenue and Leverington Avenue.
What began in 2013 as a small neighborhood gathering now draws thousands of visitors, blending modern street-fairenergy with a deep appreciation for the historic roots of Philadelphia's Oktoberfest tradition. Today, the lineup features over 100 local vendors, multiple live music stages, and robust seasonal family activities.
Food Trucks and Local Craft Beer
The festival operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, highlighting neighborhood staples alongside award-winning regional food trucks.
- Craft Beer & Drink: New Ridge Brewing Company returns with their seasonal Fiestbier and "Horror Business" pumpkin ale at their taproom and scattered festival locations. The Foodery (6148 Ridge Ave) will serve craft beer and seasonal slushies, while Peck Miller’s offers their traditional Roxtoberfest Jell-O shots.
- Food Trucks: Expect savory and sweet options from Federal Donuts, Deke’s BBQ, A Taste of Philly, Humpty's Dumplings, Frios Gourmet Pops, and Taqueria Los Gallos.
- Local Restaurant Row: Neighborhood eateries participating include Roma Cafe, Lenny’s Hoagies, Santucci’s, and Fly South Coffee.
Competitions, Activities, and New Additions

- Stein Holding Competitions: Test your endurance at the Main Stage (Ridge and Lyceum). Adults can compete in the traditional Beer Stein Competition, while kids can test their strength in the Root Beer Liter Lift.
- The PAWrade Pet Costume Contest: Starting at 3:00 PM in the Pocket Park, pets will compete for Best Costume, Best Strut/Wag, Most Creative, and Best in Show.
- Scarecrow Walk: Extending from Leverington Avenue to Hermitage Street, attendees can view and vote on custom scarecrows crafted by local businesses and community groups.
- Historical Cemetery Tours: The Central Roxborough Civic Association (CRCA) will host guided tours through the historic Leverington Cemetery, exploring the resting places of early settlers and Revolutionary War patriots.
- New for 2026: Watch live demonstrations by award-winning pumpkin carver John Zeggert (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM). The festival is also debuting the IBX Community Wellness Village and interactive "Great Fairy Games" for children.
Live Music and Entertainment
Three stages—including the RoxYunk Porchfest stage and the Jefferson Health Community Stage—will host live performances all afternoon. The lineup features Emmanuel Ohemeng III, Perpetual Motion, and The Band Joe. For an authentic Bavarian atmosphere, the Galena Brass Band will deliver traditional oompah music from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

- Public Transit: Septa’s Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line stops at Wissahickon, Manayunk, and Ivy Ridge. Multiple bus routes (9, 27, 32, 35, 38, 65) service the immediate Roxborough area.
- Biking: Cyclists can take the Kelly Drive path north along the Schuylkill River, connecting through Main Street in Manayunk straight into Roxborough.
