The favorite of the night was a late entry. What could/should have been the best cheesesteak was the least liked. The local favorite got a decisive vote from, you guessed it, the local. I'm starting with Gaiss Market. In this video, you get to meet Amigo Dan's Posse.
Gaiss Market

We are all fans of Gaiss Market, but not this particular cheesesteak sans our host. It was a traditional cheesesteak. The roll didn't help this cheesesteak. It alligatored and was bready. The meat was okay. It needed more cheese and a better mix of cheese. This video has a lot of 'get to know the posse' banter. This was the surprise favorite of Amigo Dan's Posse. I would have liked more meat, but it was $8.50. When I unwrapped it, it didn't look like much. I saw a lot of rolls. This was the highest-scoring cheesesteak on a night of 4 cheesesteaks. This cheesesteak was a few cheese slices away from being a top dog. The role may need an upgrade or maybe a little toasting. The meat was excellent. I am a big fan of thicker slices and less chopping of quality meat. The fried onions and mushrooms were big and added a big flavor. This was cheesesteak number four of four on a night of cheesesteak tasting. I saved it for last because I thought it would be the best. The Posse is pretty rough on this cheesesteak. I believe this cheesesteak by itself and eaten in a reasonable amount of time after purchase will be delicious. We got the Tailgater and the famous cheesesteak. The meat on each was excellent. While waiting for my cheesesteaks, I talked to a man who had stopped at Bagliani's on his way to the shore from Philly. He stopped because he had heard great things about Bagliani's.
