zoagie CheesesteakPhiladelphia, PAZ is for Zoagie's, and it was an excellent day to be the Cheesesteak Guy. With an Uber ride request from a Facebook Philadelphia cheesesteak adventurer, I ended up in Penns Grove, NJ, soon to be famous for Zruce Zillis and Zoagie's unbelievable "Fried Hoagies Food Truck."

What's a Zoagie? Deep-fried Sandwich

Yes, it is Zoagie's World, and we have Zive in it. I've learned my lesson about food trucks in the past. Double, no triple check Facebook to find precisely where the food truck will be that day. After some driving and additional Facebook research, I found Zoagie's.

I had the address in Google Maps, but the line of cars parked on Virginia Ave indicated where Zoagie's Unbelievable Fried Hoagies was parked. They had a line of customers and a lot of people cooking in a small' ish food truck.

The menu looked amazing, and it took a lot of self-restraint not to over-order. The 'shrimp & grab collab' was calling to me. They have a canopy to cover the people in line to order and take credit cards.   $15, you know, that scares me.

I wanted to hate this cheesesteak because two people who ordered after me got their food before me. Zoagie told me later that different things come off the grill faster, and I also think the traffic lights in Wilmington are against me, so there is that. Either way, plan on waiting for your food, which will be worth the wait.

The rolls are deep-fried, not the entire cheesesteak, and don't get hard crispy fried; they get good fried. There is a lot of delicious and well-chopped meat inside, and there's even more cheese melting into everything. A lot is going on, but the fried onions and green peppers do not get lost.

Everything on this well-balanced, well-put-together zheesesteak contributes to its excellent taste. This was a perfect stop. It will be a better stop when I show this beautiful Zheesesteak off and buy a beer when the breweries open back up to the public. Yes, I did get to meet Zoagie!!
