NORRISTOWN, PA - The future of basketball player development has officially arrived in Montgomery County. Following a grand opening celebration on July 16, Shoot 360 Philadelphia has opened the doors to its state-of-the-art training facility in the heart of Norristown, offering local athletes an unprecedented blend of professional coaching and cutting-edge technology.
Historic Roots Meet Advanced Tech
The new facility breathes fresh life into one of the community's historic landmarks. Housed in a 1909 building once owned by the Ford family and used as a parts distribution center in the 1930s, the space has been completely transformed.
Inside, athletes of all ages and skill levels now have access to proprietary technology previously reserved for elite professionals. Shoot 360 utilizes AI-driven analytics, motion-tracking cameras, and interactive digital drills to help players improve their shooting, ball handling, and overall basketball IQ in a highly engaging, data-driven environment.
“Giving new life to one of Norristown's historic buildings while creating a place for the next generation of athletes is something we're incredibly proud of," said Mike Morak, Co-Owner of Shoot 360. "We believe this is the beginning of something special for our community, creating opportunities for local youth through innovative technology, coaching, and mentorship."
Comprehensive Training and Development
Beyond the interactive training cages, the facility offers a robust lineup of development programs:
- Small-Group Skill Classes: Tailored sessions to build fundamental skills.
- Personalized Training Plans: One-on-one coaching for targeted improvement.
- Youth Camps & Clinics: Seasonal programs designed for immersive learning.
- Virtual Competitions: Players can compete virtually against other Shoot 360 athletes across the country.
- Mobile App Tracking: Athletes can monitor their personal performance and development metrics in real-time.
"The way Shoot 360 merges technology and real, in-person skill training reaches players on a level that they are used to," noted Co-Owner Naveen Mohiuddin. "We think Philadelphia, with its rich history in basketball and the amount of coaches, players, and programs, makes it a perfect area to introduce this concept."
A New Community Destination
The grand opening event drew significant local support, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Jamila Winder, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners; Councilman Rashaad Bates of Norristown's 1st District; and Stephen Forster, Director of the Montgomery County Commerce Department.
Shoot 360 is also positioning itself as a gathering place for the broader community. The facility is equipped to host birthday parties, team-building corporate events, and unique fundraising initiatives, such as their "Shoot-a-Thon" program, which helps local schools and teams raise money through interactive basketball challenges.
