PhillyBite10DELAWARE - On, April 3, 2026, the Wawa Beverage Company issued a voluntary recall for several popular drinks due to an undeclared allergen. Here is the breakdown for Delaware residents.

The Core Issue: An Undeclared Allergen

Wawa has recalled select 16-ounce (pint) bottled beverages because they may contain an undeclared milk allergen.

The company identified a temporary equipment issue during production that may have introduced milk into the beverage lines. While Wawa has since corrected the issue and no illnesses have been reported, the presence of milk poses a serious risk to anyone with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity.

Which Drinks Are Recalled in Delaware?

The recall impacts a limited number of Wawa stores throughout Delaware. The specific products involved are the Wawa Iced Tea Lemon (UPC 726191018425) with a date code of MAY 15, 2026; the Wawa Diet Lemonade (UPC 726191055901) with a date code of MAY 18, 2026; and the Wawa Fruit Punch (UPC 726191018432) with a date code of MAY 19, 2026.

You can find these date codes printed clearly on the top of the bottle. While "Iced Diet Tea Lemon" was also recalled in other regions, Delaware customers should primarily check for the three varieties listed above.

What You Should Do

Wawa has already removed these items from store shelves across Delaware. However, if you have these bottles at home:

  • Dispose of them immediately: Do not drink them. This is especially vital for those with milk allergies.
  • Request a refund: You are entitled to a full refund in the form of a Wawa Gift Card.
  • Contact Wawa: Reach out to Wawa’s 24-hour Customer Contact Center at 1-800-444-9292 or visit their official website to process your refund or ask additional questions.
