Philadelphia, PA – International animal protection organization, In Defense of Animals, is pleased to announce its seventh Annual Vegan Spirituality Retreat in Philadelphia, featuring United Nations-recognized peace activist and musician Peter Jam. The event will be held on Saturday, October 8, in beautiful natural surroundings at Saunders Woods Preserve in Gladwyne, Montgomery County.
In Defense of Animals’ President, Dr. Marilyn Kroplick said, “Our seventh Vegan Spirituality Retreat will be our best yet, offering guests an immersive experience in a woodland oasis, surrounded by like-minded individuals and wild animal inhabitants. Nature walks, yoga, and qi gong will allow participants to practice mindfulness, before enjoying an inspiring speech by internationally renowned peace activist, Peter Jam. During the animal blessing, the group will experience vegan spirituality in action, as their hearts open to embrace compassion for all living beings.”
In Defense of Animals’ Vegan Spirituality Retreat offers opportunities to empathize with animals suffering around the world, celebrate animal companions, honor those who have died, create a vision of harmony between humans and other animals, and take part in a creative animal blessing ceremony.
Retreat-goers will enjoy an uplifting and empowering talk from internationally acclaimed peace activist Peter Jam.
