Now, remember that all ingredients should be at room temperature.

Delightful Homemade Biscotti: A Simple Recipe for a Classic Treat

Indulge in this easy-to-follow recipe for homemade biscotti, which has an irresistible crunch and delicate flavors. Perfect for dunking in coffee or tea, these twice-baked delights will become a favorite in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • Six large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Two teaspoons anise seeds
  • Two teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Three teaspoons of baking powder
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts or mini chocolate chips for added texture and flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the anise seeds and vanilla extract, and cool the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry and wet ingredients, mixing until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. At this stage, fold in chopped walnuts or mini chocolate chips if desired.
