Philadelphia, PA - McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region announces the launch of new, premium Signature Crafted Recipes™ menu items. As part of McDonald's multi-year food journey, the Signature Crafted Recipes utilize high-quality ingredients in three delicious new recipes featuring Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon and Maple Bacon Dijon sauces, paired with the choice of 100 percent beef ¼ lb. patty, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Artisan Grilled Chicken. Customers will also have the option of an artisan roll or sesame seed bun to complete their Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich.
In addition to continuing the journey to enhance customer experience, McDonald's is marking the launch of Signature Crafted Recipes by advancing their commitment to bettering the communities where they live and work by honoring more than 115,000 local teachers during the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week. As a small token of appreciation, McDonald's will be sharing Be Our Guest Cards with educators, inviting them to visit participating restaurants for a free Signature Crafted Recipe sandwich.
"McDonald's is committed to making positive changes in our restaurants and in our communities," said Charles Ehlers, President, McDonald's of the Greater Philadelphia Region Owner/Operator Association. "The new Signature Crafted Recipes are one of our most premium offerings and showcase our continued dedication to meeting customer needs and serving the finest quality foods."
In addition to thanking local teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week, beginning May 1 through May 14, local students and parents can also nominate their favorite teacher, via social media, for a chance to win a Signature Crafted Recipes lunch party for their entire class. To enter, students and parents are encouraged to tweet a six-word story regarding their favorite teacher to @McDPhilly with #McDTAW and #Sweeps for a chance to win.
"Promoting education and recognizing the women and men who dedicate their lives to providing it is extremely important to us at McDonald's. Inviting teachers in the Greater Philadelphia area to join us for a free Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich is a small token to show our appreciation," said Ehlers. "We continually look for ways to promote education through programs and initiatives like Teacher Appreciation Week and Archways to Opportunity, a comprehensive employer funded education strategy, that help empower our communities and those who drive positive change in them."
