The narrow and dim lit medieval European inspired restaurant features a small seating area with a view of the street around the main bar and a second secluded bar nestled in an intimate nook towards the back of the restaurant. Top notch service does not seem to be a priority at Monk’s as the servers and bartenders act rather annoyed by your presence at times. This may be part of the culture, but that I am not sure of. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, while the food comes out fast, delicious, and is reasonably priced. Parking is limited in this area of the city as is seating, so get there early on weekends.
