Philadelphia, PA - For a taste of Baja cuisine, Iron Chef Jose Garces opens Buena Onda in Rittenhouse. The Mexican-inspired restaurant will serve tacos, quesadillas, and margaritas. The Baja Peninsula was the inspiration for the restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, and the food is authentic. It is a great place to take your date or a group of friends.
Buena Onda in Rittenhouse
The new Rittenhouse location of Buena Onda is now open at 114 S. 20th Street, right next to Village Whiskey. The restaurant is a taqueria, and the flavors of the Baja Peninsula inspire its menu. While the restaurant does not have a physical bar, it will feature Buena Onda branded Margaritas. The location offers 1,700 square feet of space, with seating inside and outside seating for 48 guests.
Each new location will offer Buena's signature dishes such as environmentally conscious seafood tacos, classic tacos, Buena bowls, nachos, guacamole, chips and salsa, rice and beans, churros, and many other offerings. Garces fans can also pair their favorite dishes with drinks, including margaritas (classic, Baja, frozen, and seasonal), beer, wine, sangria, sodas, and more. This location will be the model for franchising the Philly-born brand that will expand from Philadelphia to other parts of the country.
The restaurant's ambiance and service are sure to impress any crowd. The menu features Mexican fare, such as tacos, quesadillas, and a cocktail menu. The restaurant is also the perfect spot for lunch and brunch.
If you can’t make it to the Rittenhouse location, don’t worry, Buena Onda in Fairmount is also open for business at 1901 Callowhill Street; both restaurants are open for lunch, dinner, and happy hour.
