HERSHEY, PA—Prepare for a tropical twist on a favorite IPA! Tröegs Independent Brewing, the Pennsylvania craft brewing powerhouse, has just released Second Cut Mango Double IPA, the latest addition to their acclaimed "Once-a-Year" series.
Mango Mania Hits Craft Beer
Packing a juicy punch at 8.5% ABV, Second Cut takes inspiration from Tröegs' beloved First Cut IPA, amping things up with a burst of mango and Simcoe hops. The result? A symphony of tropical fruit flavors with notes of pineapple and a touch of honey sweetness.
But there's more to this beer than just deliciousness. "Second Cut" nods to the start of the hop harvest season and salutes farmers as they prepare for the year ahead.
"We're always on the hunt for exciting new flavors," says John Trogner, Tröegs co-founder and brewmaster. "First Cut has a huge following, so we wanted to deliver something even bolder for those fans."
What makes Second Cut unique is the generous dose of natural mango – over 12 pounds per barrel – added during fermentation. This gives the beer its distinctive tropical character and a refreshingly sweet finish.
