Dave Benfield will continue to drive the strategy, portfolio, and product innovation of DuClaw. He will also ensure that the beer is of the highest standard. DuClaw will be releasing new, innovative products to complement its fantastic lineup. Although each brand will continue to be managed independently, the efficiencies that are created by sharing production capacity, combining facilities and forming certain distribution partnerships will benefit both companies. River Horse is expanding its capacity at the Ewing, NJ facility in order to meet DuClaw's nationwide distribution footprint.

Chris Walsh, River Horse's Chris Walsh, says: "From the first time we met Dave to discuss possible combinations, we knew this would be an amazing partnership." Dave is one of the most creative minds in the brewing industry and is always on the cutting edge of flavor profile formulations. He is excited to transfer the production responsibilities to River Horse's team in Ewing, NJ to focus his full attention on the parts of his business he loves products, strategy, and sales. Benfield says, "The operations part of brewing can be challenging. This partnership will enable me to focus my efforts on what I do best. I spent too much time and energy on the latest mechanical, logistical, or supply issues and I was taken from driving the brand in the way I desired."

You shouldn't see many changes; your favorite River Horse or DuClaw beer should still be available at your local taverns and stores.
