Philadelphia, PA - Woman's Best Friend tells the story of how women have found that their dogs have become lifelong companions to help them through whatever highs and lows life throws at them. Philadelphia based photographer Kristen Kidd has taken this opportunity to showcase stories like these in her new coffee table book.
Dog-themed Coffee Table Book Benefits Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue
Kristen's project showcases the powerful connections between women and their dogs. She created an opportunity to document each woman's remarkable story based on one question: When has your dog been there for you in a way a human could not?

Woman's Best Friend100% of the profits from book sales will be donated to a local rescue partner. I know #adoptdontshop has a special place in your heart because of Bailey. The fundraising efforts put forth by this book go to supporting animals like that, so everyone has the chance to rescue their own Bailey. The second edition, which is now available for pre-sale, is partnered with Brandywine Valley SPCA. The book will be officially on sale beginning Sunday, November 1.
In 2019, the first edition was released, which raised close to $10,000 for Harley's Haven Dog Rescue, a local PA shelter. For the second edition, Kristen is hopeful we can double that amount for Brandywine Valley and continue this movement for years to come. Hence, rescues nationwide have an opportunity to become a beneficiary of the project. We'd love to use your platform to reach more women and collect their heartwarming stories. We'd also love for all rescues to understand there is an opportunity for them to get involved and benefit from our project funds.
