- Philly is going to commemorate Villanova University’s 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship on Thursday, April 5th, with a celebration on Market Street beginning at 11AM and a celebration on Dilworth Plaza.
Parade participants will assemble at 2000-2900 Market Street starting at 9:30AM. The procession will start at 11:00AM. The parade will begin at 20th & Market Streets and continue eastbound on Market Street to 15th Street, southbound on 15th Street to South Penn Square, eastbound on South Penn Square, terminating on South Penn Square west of Broad Street. The celebration portion of the event is going to commence about 11:45AM, and the event is planned to conclude at 12:30PM.
In order to assure the safety of participants and the general public, street closures and parking limitations will be put in place around the location of the event. Setbacks are going to be expected throughout the course of the event. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area by making use of alternate routes, and allow for additional commuting time near the event.
