South Street to Host Philadelphia's Largest Oktoberfest Celebration

Philadelphia is preparing for the return of its largest and most anticipated Oktoberfest event. On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Brauhaus Schmitz will present the 17th Annual South Street Oktoberfest, transforming the 700 block of South Street into a massive Bavarian festival. From noon to 8:00 PM, thousands of attendees will gather for one of the fall's most exciting food-and-drink events.

PHILADELPHIA – Last night, I joined 5,000 attendees for the annual Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia, a secret pop-up picnic that transformed the historic grounds of Girard College into a scene straight out of The Great Gatsby. The massive gathering, now in its twelfth year, celebrated French elegance and Philadelphia community with a "100 Years of Gatsby" theme, marking the centennial of the novel's publication.
