Philadelphia, PA - Glu Hospitality, a notable Asian-owned restaurant group led by Tim Lu and Derek Gibbons, is delighted to unveil their latest venture: Chika, an underground late-night ramen bar at 1526 Sansom Street in Philadelphia. Drawing inspiration from the captivating noodle bar scene in the cult sci-fi film Blade Runner, Chika promises to deliver a dining experience like no other, combining mouthwatering cuisine, delectable beverages, and cutting-edge design.

Spread across 2,000 square feet, Chika provides an intimate and cozy ambiance, catering to a maximum of 48 diners. The menu showcases a range of traditional ramen dishes and Japanese bites masterfully crafted by Chef Dean Leevongcharoen. With over a decade of expertise and authentic training in Japan, Chef Dean brings unparalleled skill and authenticity. To complement these flavorful creations, guests can indulge in a meticulously curated beverage selection by mixologist Michael Ego, adding a touch of flair to the overall dining experience.

Ensuring a visually stunning and immersive atmosphere, BOXwood Architecture and Design Firm was entrusted with bringing the vision of Chika to life. Their expert craftsmanship can be seen in every corner of the restaurant, elevating the overall aesthetic and creating an environment that transports patrons to a futuristic world of culinary delight.

Mark your calendars for the grand opening of Chika, set to take place this Thursday at 4 p.m. Moving forward, Chika will be open for service from Monday to Wednesday, operating between 4 pm and 10 pm (with the kitchen closing at 9 pm), Thursday to Saturday, extending service from 4 pm to 2 am (kitchen closing at 1 am), and Sunday, offering a delectable dining experience from 4 pm to 9 pm (kitchen closing at 8 pm).
