Chef Mike Stolllenwerk, who won accolades in Bon Appétit {3rd Best Seafood Restaurant in USA}, the New York Times and Philadelphia Magazine {Best New Restaurant 2009}, for his restaurants Little Fish and Fish before leaving Philadelphia, is back!
His new restaurant 26 NORTH BYOB is located in the heart of Old City, and is open for lunch and dinner, with Stollenwerk at that top of his game.
Guests can expect new dishes and returning favorites such as his much loved Skate Wing with truffled speatzle, melted leeks, Parmesan broth. Stollenwerk may be back and better than ever; but there’s a lot less of him these days. Chef dropped some 160 lbs through healthy eating and Thai boxing.
Chef Stollenwerk came up at the New Jersey Shore and started his career cooking at some of the best kitchens in Cape May. Later he was co-owner at Avalon’s highly regarded Café Loren. Shortly after coming to Philadelphia, Stollenwerk bought Little Fish, and later opened FISH. Stollewerk opened opened additional concepts and worked in other kitchens before briefly stepping out Philadelphia with a move to the mid-west. These days, Stollenwerk is back and ready to show Philadelphia’s his best work to date.
