The Mexican restaurant Sueno, which will be supplying the food for Nightmare, is not a Halloween-themed pop-up, but it will be open through the end of the year. Although the Halloween pop-up may not be a permanent fixture, it will surely make you think of the spooky Mexican tradition in a new way.
The pop-up bar Nightmare Before Tinsel will open its doors at 4 p.m. on Thursday at 116 S. 12th St. in Philadelphia and will run until Oct. 31. It will be open with hours to start Monday through Thursday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, Friday, 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, Saturday, 4:00 pm to 2:00 am and Sunday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am. Starting the week of September 26th, hours will be Monday through Thursday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, Friday, 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, Saturday, 2:00 pm to 2:00 am, and Sunday, 2:00 pm to 12:00 am. Tinsel is 21 and up only and free to enter (except Friday and Saturday nights, when cover is $5 at 8:00 pm and after). The bar will also feature a costumed bartender and tons of frights.
