Philadelphia, PA - A beautiful November Friday morning and ended up in Philly. I need to do a better job of taking advantage of nobody being in Center City.

Good Day Deli

Good Day Deli is on 20th Street by Chestnut, and I found a parking spot on the street within a block. $2.50 an hour to park on the street, I do not know how the city is not running a cash surplus.

Good Day Deli calls themselves an Urban Deli. I think they're more like an urban mostly take out Diner. Lots of different meal specials.

I was surprised at the amount of French Toast they sold. It was unique, but it just doesn't seem like a lot of people would buy at an Urban Deli/Diner. I had instant order remorse.

After I ordered, I saw they had a cheesesteak panini. Good Day Deli is a narrow, wide place. The deli counter runs pretty much the full length of the place.

The grill men had a nice coordinated motion going that the delivery guy regularly interrupted. They have 4/5 little tables inside, but I did not see a bathroom.

They were busy the whole time I was there, and it was kind of between meals. I thought I would be Metropolitan and got a bulgogi cheesesteak. It came on a Toasted Roll.

It was a good roll, but I think toasting it makes it a little bit better. The meat was good but needed more of it. The heavy soy-based sauce gave this Cheesesteak a lot of flavors.

Biting into a carrot while eating a cheesesteak always gives an exciting taste sensation. This was good, but you could tell this was a cheesesteak place making a bulgogi cheesesteak instead of a bulgogi place make a bulgogi cheesesteak.
