Philadelphia Mexican, Chinese and Southern California
“The neighborhood just lost one spot from Michael Pasquarello with Bufad’s closure at the end of 2018 — but we’re getting a Chinese-Mexican concept right next to Union Transfer a few blocks away.” - Resident
La Chinesca is named after a neighborhood in the Mexican city of Mexicali, famous for its underground Chinatown. Like most new restaurants in Philly these days, Rohe Creative is behind the creative design.
Located at the former Jiffy Lube site, the bar area will seat 18 customers, and the downstairs can accommodate up to 50 guests for private dining. The restaurant also has plenty of outdoor seating on the front patio as well as the back deck.
La Chinesca hours of operation will be Wednesday through Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
