Cult-Favorite Ice Cream Company Jeni’s Is Opening Two Stores in Philly

With more than 40 locations in cities around the country. The ice cream chain is scooping out creative flavors of ice cream made from locally sourced ingredients. The original ice-cream-making company is based in Columbus, OH, but they are now expanding to Philadelphia.

The company is renowned for its social, environmental, and business leadership. It was recently named one of the Best For The World honorees for 2019.

The ice cream shop will serve Philadelphia residents at its first of two Philadelphia locations in Fishtown; a 1,767-square-foot location will open at 1322 Frankford Ave. The second location will be located at 1901 Chestnut Street, in Rittenhouse.

The Fishtown location is Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams' first brick and mortar in Philadelphia. Located across from the La Colombe flagship store. The brand has been serving ice cream in local supermarkets since the 1990s. It has developed a devoted following among ice cream enthusiasts.

Both ice cream shops are expected to sell various vegan and dairy-free flavors and regular ice cream offerings.
