Philadelphia, PA - Last night I had THE best pizza I've ever had. Clearly, Pizzeria Beddia is an extraordinary jewel. Yup!! My dinner companions Kevin Waddy, a former chef, a pizza lover, and our new friend Autumn Lockwood, agreed that this was THE best pizza ever. It was special.
Pizzeria Beddia in Fishtown
Roasted corn, marinated cherry tomatoes, sweet corn cream, mozzarella, basil vinaigrette, Royer Mountain, a Romano-style cheese, cellar aged 12+ months. The closest thing to Pennsylvania Parmesan! We added the smoked bacon option. Wow, was it divine!!
Assistant Manager Kim Capehart told us that the fresh corn from a local grower is delivered to the restaurant in a huge bin (think a bin that holds watermelons at the grocery store). Once the corn is gone, this pizza is off the menu until next year. Ouch!! So if you want to try this heavenly slice of pie, head to Pizzeria Beddia in Fishtown, located at 1313 North Lee St Philadelphia, PA 19122 267-928-2256.
We also had their soft serve on this hot, 98°F day (day 8 of the heatwave). I had sweet cream, which I loved. Kevin and Autumn had the espresso sweet cream soft serve, which they enjoyed. A perfect ending to our delicious dinner.
