A total lunar eclipse is a rare event that has only occurred five times since 1900. Later this month, on September 27, this phenomenon will be visible in the night sky.

In the US, Canada, and Central and South America, this Total Lunar Eclipse will begin on the
evening of September 27, 2015. In Europe, South/East Asia, Africa, the Arctic, and in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans it starts on September 28, 2015.

For North America, the supermoon lunar eclipse will be viewable in the night sky on Sunday, September 27, the same day the Pope will say Mass to tens of thousands of people on the Benjamin Franklin
