Tanners Falls in Wayne County
The waterfall is about 20 feet high and has two tiers. It has a narrow path that leads downstream. There is a nice bridge nearby, which crosses the creek. While you're there, don't miss the historic ruins. Tanners Falls is home to several stone ruins and a historic bridge. In the 19th century, it was known as Dyberry Falls, and several mills were located here. The area was also famous for tanning, as there was a large supply of hemlock trees.
There are eight township roads in the area. Six of them connect to the town of Tanners Falls. Upper Woods, Pleasant Valley Road, Lupyak, Haines School Road, and Kilroe Road are the others. You can also take the scenic Niles Pond Road, which connects to the township of Niles Falls.
