Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia Parks and Recreation together with Fairmount Park Conservancy have joined together to create “The Present”– a brand-new, fun holiday attraction – for the newly remodeled LOVE Park. A brand-new attraction to this year's Christmas Village in Center City.
The Present at The Christmas Village in Center City
The Present is a radiant, 27-foot-tall, walk-through Christmas gift, boasting a 4-foot decorative bow, as well as five miles of red and white, LED lighting fixtures, composed of over 100,000 light bulbs! The Present encourages LOVE Park guests to contribute money to several causes that benefit city parks. The Present was formally illuminated in a lighting ceremony alongside Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney on Monday, November 26.
The Present is open to the public daily, 11 am-10 pm, starting Giving Tuesday, November 27 to Monday, December 24 (Christmas Eve).
Aside from becoming the showcase of this year's Christmas Village, The Present is designed to help visitors give back this Christmas season. Guests are encouraged to donate a $5.00 gift to one of three causes via text, and Bank of America will also match it.
