Philadelphia Phillies 2017 Spring Training Non-Roster Invitees

• Victor Arano, RHP - A 21-year-old right-hander, Arano posted a 2.26 ERA and averaged 10.73 SO/9.0 IP in 46 combined games last season between single-A Clearwater and double-A Reading. Originally signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an amateur free agent in 2013, Arano was acquired via trade with infielder Jesmuel Valentin for right-hander Roberto Hernandez on August 28, 2014.
   
• Pedro Beato, RHP - A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Beato, 30, appeared in 65 games for triple-A Norfolk last season and posted a 2.65 ERA with 62 strikeouts in 68.0 innings. Beato previously pitched in the majors with the New York Mets (2011-12), Boston Red Sox (2012-13) and Atlanta Braves (2014).
   
• J.P. Crawford, SS - Crawford, ranked as the top prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America and No. 2 overall in the minor leagues by MLB.com, batted .250 last season with 27 extra-base hits (19 2B, 3B, 7 HR), 43 RBI, 72 walks, 12 stolen bases and 63 runs in 123 games combined between double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 22-year-old shortstop has a career .372 on-base percentage with 232 walks and 243 strikeouts in 406 minor league games. He was originally selected by the Phillies in the first round (16^th overall) of the June 2013 draft.
   
• Taylor Featherston, INF - The 27-year-old spent the majority of the 2016 season with triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he batted .254 with 23 doubles, four triples, 13 home runs and 37 RBI in 99 games. He also appeared in 19 games with the Phillies between July and August. A Houston, Texas native, Featherston was acquired by Philadelphia in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels in February of 2016.
   
• Dalier Hinojosa, RHP - A member of the 2016 Phillies Opening Day roster, Hinojosa posted a 1.69 ERA and 0.84 WHIP over his final nine appearances with the Phillies last year before landing on the disabled list with a hand contusion. Hinojosa, 30, has held opponents to a .536 OPS in 29 career major league games with the Boston Red Sox (2015) and Phillies (2015-16).
   
• Bryan Holaday, C - Originally selected by the Detroit Tigers in the sixth round of the 2010 draft, Holaday has a .988 fielding percentage in 136 major league games behind the plate. The 29-year-old spent last season between the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox where he batted .231 in 44 combined games.
   
• Rhys Hoskins, 1B - The 2016 Eastern League Rookie of the Year and co-winner of the Paul Owens Award, Hoskins hit .281 with a .377 on-base percentage, .566 slugging percentage, 26 doubles, 38 home runs, 116 RBI and 95 runs in 135 games for double-A Reading last season. He led the EL with a .943 OPS and ranked second among all minor league players in home runs and third in RBI. The 23-year-old was named a midseason and postseason EL All-Star and was selected as the sixth-best prospect in the Phillies system by Baseball America. Hoskins was originally selected by Philadelphia in the fifth round of the June 2014 draft out of Sacramento State.
   
• Scott Kingery, INF - A former Pac-12 batting champion (.392 in 2015), Kingery hit .281 last year with 36 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 46 RBI, 30 stolen bases and 76 runs in 131 games combined between single-A Clearwater and double-A Reading. At just 22 years old, he led all Phillies minor league players in hits (149) and was selected as the ninth-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America. Kingery also played for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League and was named an AFL Rising Star. He was selected by the Phillies in the second round of the June 2015 draft from the University of Arizona.
   
• Michael Mariot, RHP - A 28-year-old right-hander, Mariot appeared in 25 games for the Phillies in 2016 and collected his first major league save on September 20 against the Chicago White Sox. Mariot pitched in 26 games for triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2016 and posted a 2.23 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .150 average.
   
• Logan Moore, C - A 26-year-old native of Scranton, Pa., Moore split time last season between double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley. A ninth-round selection by the Phillies in the 2011 draft, Moore has a career .988 fielding percentage in 390 minor league games at catcher.
   
• Colton Murray, RHP - Murray, 26, has appeared in 32 games for the Phillies over the last two seasons, collecting 40 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. Originally selected by the Phillies in the 13^th round of the 2011 draft, Murray has a 3.26 ERA in 239 minor league games (2011-16).
   
• Chace Numata, C - A 2016 Florida State League midseason All-Star, Numata spent the entire season with single-A Clearwater. He batted .308 with a .377 on-base percentage in 94 games for the Threshers. Numata, 24, was originally selected by the Phillies in the 14^th round of the June 2010 draft.
   
• Cam Perkins, OF - In 117 games with Lehigh Valley in 2016, Perkins batted .292 with 20 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 47 RBI. The 26-year-old played all three outfield positions for the IronPigs en route to being named an International League midseason All-Star. Perkins was selected by the Phillies in the sixth round of the June 2012 draft out of Purdue University.
   
• Andrew Pullin, OF - The left-handed hitting outfielder led all Phillies minor leaguers last year with a .322 batting average in 82 games between single-A Clearwater and double-A Reading. He added 21 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 51 RBI during the season and was named Phillies Minor League Player of the Month for July. He was a fifth round selection of the Phillies in the June 2012 draft.
   
• César Ramos, LHP - Originally drafted in the first round (35^th overall) of the 2005 draft by the San Diego Padres, Ramos has pitched in 267 major league games for the Padres (2009-10), Tampa Bay Rays (2011-14) Los Angeles Angels (2015) and Texas Rangers (2016). From 2012-15, Ramos, 32, made 165 relief appearances and posted a 3.21 ERA.
   
• Brock Stassi, 1B - Stassi spent the entire 2016 season with triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he batted .267 with a .369 on-base percentage, 26 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs and 58 RBI in 117 games. He committed just one error in 743 total chances at first base for a .999 fielding percentage. The 27-year-old was originally selected by the Phillies in the 33^rd round of the June 2011 draft from the University of Nevada-Reno.

These players join left-hander Sean Burnett, infielders Pedro Florimon & Hector Gomez and outfielder Daniel Nava as non-roster invitees to 2017 major league Spring Training.
