- In the mood for some comfort food, after meeting with a future client, Dana Friedman and I decided to go to my favorite local spot with a "cheers" vibe. The Pub of Penn Valley is, as the song lyrics say, "Where everybody knows your name. And they're always glad you came." Who doesn't love this feeling!!! Started with The Pub of Penn Valley's Chilled Gazpacho, which is red-based. When I eat Gazpacho, I feel like I'm eating healthy. Am I fooling myself!?! The soup was flavorful without too much kick. Dana had The Pub of Penn Valley's cream-based wild mushroom soup, which is always delicious.
The Pub of Penn Valley's corn chip-crusted chicken is topped with a chipotle cream sauce (I always ask for extra) and is decorated with salsa. This is clearly a favorite dish of mine. I get so excited when it is on the menu, and the Pub of Penn Valley is the only place to get this!! Dana had the meatloaf with a yummy onion gravy served with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
In addition to great food, what makes this restaurant special is the people. Their staff is like one big happy family dedicated to working hard to give the restaurants an awesome experience.
