The Thirsty SoulPhiladelphia, PA - The Thirsty Soul situated in the up and coming West Passyunk District at the corner of Passyunk Ave and 16th Street is a unique church-themed bar and Cajun restaurant.

The Thirsty Soul is CLOSED

The bar’s design took traditionally spiritual furnishings and incorporated it into the bar's decor, such as pew-style seats, a confession booth, as well as a throne — the food, is a unique blend of New Orleans with a hint of South Philly.

The beverage menu is also church themed, and it’s split into two parts: The Old Testament and The New Testament. With timeless classics, like a Sazerac and a fantastic Old Fashioned, while the New Testament focuses on specialty drinks.

Finally, take a peek behind the confessional booth, which joins the barroom into the Red Room, an inviting area that has a fireplace as well as unique bordello vibe with live blues, jazz, rockabilly every Friday and Saturday nights.
