The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber’s Professional Mentoring Network to Hold Youth Summit at Edison High School on 09/22/2016North Philadelphia, Pa, September 20, 2016 - The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC) and its Professional Mentoring Network will hold their annual Youth Summit at Edison High School in North Philadelphia.

More than 700 students will attend the summit for a day of inspiration, guidance and resource sharing. This year the summit is sponsored by AT&T and will feature nationally recognized motivational speaker Andres Lara through a partnership with Motivos magazine and the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute.

The annual Youth Summit is designed to empower students in predominantly Latino high schools with the opportunity to meet professionals of diverse backgrounds and learn from them how to plan a successful career. It begins with a powerful plenary, followed by workshops, career presentations and a college and career expo, where over two dozen higher education institutions and employers will provide information and access to resources.

More than 700 students will attend the summit for a day of inspiration, guidance and resource sharing. This year the summit is sponsored by AT&T and will feature nationally recognized motivational speaker Andres Lara through a partnership with Motivos magazine and the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute.

GPHCC President and CEO, Jennifer Rodríguez, says “This is an opportunity for Latino youth to learn from diverse professionals about a variety of career pathways and life experiences that will inspire them to plan for a successful future beyond high school graduation.”



The event will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Edison High School, located at 151 W Luzerne Street Philadelphia, PA 19140. The event will take place from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

GPHCC is a not-for-profit organization devoted to promoting the advancement and economic growth of Hispanic businesses and professionals in the greater Philadelphia region.
