13th Annual Car Show and Street Festival

The early summer extension is going to consist of station and bike availableness at the Navy Yard with junctions at AT&T Station and FDR Park. Further stations will be setup all through the summer to offer additional dock and bike accessibility along higher ridership locations.


Mayor Kenney Announced Var Recreation Center Rebuild Project

Philadelphia, PAPhillyBite Mayor Kenny,  Mayor Jim Kenney was joined by Councilman Kenyatta Johnson to announce Vare Recreation Center as the first project to receive investment from Rebuilding Community Infrastructure (Rebuild), the City’s initiative to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in parks, recreation centers, and libraries across Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Passes Sodium Bill Warning for Restaurant Menus

PhillyBite SaltPhiladelphia, PA - Calling it an important step forward for public health, Mayor Jim Kenney signed legislation today requiring chain restaurants to place warning labels next to each menu item containing 2,300 or more milligrams of sodium – the amount in about a teaspoon of salt – which is the maximum recommended total sodium intake for an entire day.
