The team behind Federal Donuts and Zahav are developing a new restaurant concept called Rooster Soup Co., a joint venture between Federal Donuts and Broad Street Ministry .The joint venture between Federal Donuts and Broad Street Ministry, have leased space at., just one block away from Federal Donuts' Center City location at 1632 Sansom St.
The opening date has been announced yet, But the new concept will use Federal Donuts' unused chicken parts into stock and broth.
The 1,400-square-foot casual American luncheonette along with soup will also serve salads and sandwiches, along with a simple bar selection. All profits earned, after operating costs, will be donated to Broad Street Ministry helping to provide meals and services to vulnerable Philadelphians.
