Steve Martorano, whose Italian heritage inspired him to open Steve's Ristorante in 1987, will run the new restaurant at the Rivers Casino Philadelphia. In addition to serving the classic dishes of South Philadelphia, he'll also feature his Italian influence. For the music at his new restaurant, he will play a mix of classic Philly songs and new tunes.
The restaurant will be named Martorano's Prime and located in the newly-built Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The new restaurant will be the fourth in the Martorano restaurant chain. He already has Atlantic City, Pittsburg, and Ft. Lauderdale restaurants. His flagship restaurant, Cafe Martorano, has received recognition from Open Table as being among the 100 "Hottest Restaurants" in America.
The interior of Martorano's Prime is an elegant mix of high-polished metals, light leathers, and woods. A circular center bar and large wine display will adorn the space. The music will include both classic and modern Philly hits.
