Philadelphia, PA - Glu Hospitality is expanding and heading to Temple University! Owners Derek Gibbons and Tim Lu will open The Peabody in the former home of The Draught Horse Bar & Grill on the Temple campus.

New Restaurant Opening in Former Draught Horse Bar & Grill Space

The Peabody will make its grand debut this fall at 1431 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, on the west side of Broad Street. It will be a modern grill and sports bar that is 6,000 square feet large, with seating for nearly 250 people in the bar, main dining room, and private event spaces, with additional seats to come outside with sidewalk dining. The menu will focus on American fare from Executive Chef Chino Chang. The bar will feature ten beers on draft, cocktails, cider, and seltzer.

For this project, Glu will partner with Temple to use the new restaurant to fill a community need and offer real-world training and behind-the-scenes lessons for students at Temple's School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management.

Aversa PR will also partner with Glu to work with Temple University's Klein College of Media and Communication students on public relations for a brand new restaurant and hospitality concept. Students will get first-hand experience during the process leading up to the ribbon-cutting.

Peabody is one of over a dozen new projects Glu Hospitality will open and announce the opening date in the coming months. By the end of 2022, Glu will have nearly tripled its restaurants and hospitality concepts.
