Philadelphia, PA - Glu Hospitality, proprietors of the Vesper Center City, Vesper Dayclub and The Germantown Garden, have opened Leda and The Swan at 1224 Chestnut Street, in Philadelphia's thriving Midtown Village neighborhood.
New Hideaway Bar Opens in Midtown Village
Leda and The Swan will offer a unique hybrid cocktail bar and lounge experience along with live entertainment, craft cocktails, dancing and local art in a comfortable and beautiful space. The Inspiration for the name comes from Greek mythology in which Zeus turned into a swan and seduces Leda, and this new lives up to its unique name.
Midtown's Newest Bar and Lounge
The 2,500 sq ft cocktail bar and lounge area is going to offer niche craft cocktails and drinks developed by respected cocktail veterans Ryan Fenton and Zach Kessler who formerly worked at The Franklin. The bar program is going to feature nine unique cocktails, four kinds of Old Fashions, dessert cocktails, vodka club cocktails showcasing tinctures, wines, and champagnes.
When it comes to beer, Leda and The Swan will provide 14 beers by the bottle, along with an emphasis on the classics as well as a handful of higher-end craft options. Cider and hard seltzer will be also readily available.
Within the 2,500 sq ft space, is a 25-foot bar, twelve-bar stools, a table seating area for eight, together with banquet space for an estimated 48 guests.
A “Music and Cocktail Hideaway”
Leda's exterior was actually designed to create curiosity as people pass by. Once you enter the mysterious black door and velvet curtain, customers will discover an assembly of personalities chuckling and chatting over drinks. Happy hour runs Thursdays and Fridays, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
